In this post I discuss the factors that make bisexual and pansexual sex workers have identity crises, and how to cope if it happens!

Preview: Bisexual men are often assumed to be secretly gay but in denial, and bisexual women are often assumed to be straight and pretending to be bisexual for attention. In both situations, men are the focus. Any attraction to men is imagined to override other elements of a bisexual and/or pansexual person’s identity. For queer people selling sex, a skew in the ratio of the genders of their sex partners is likely to develop very quickly, because most sex buyers are men.

If you’re selling sex for a while and you try to do the math, you’re likely to notice a significant gender skew in your sexual partners even if you don’t have a note-worthy gender preference. Pansexual panic!
