I’m Jack Parker (he/they), a sex worker who writes about the topic of sex work. I also have experience as a peer support worker for sex workers, as well as providing training for professionals on how best to support us. All of this informs the way I discuss the topic.
On this website you will find posts on various subjects relating to sex work, trans and queer identity, and the intersection of the two. Every article you will find includes my perspective as a person who has been selling sex since the age of 17, who has gone from trading sex directly for resources to working in brothels to selling sex from my own flat. After several years in the industry, I decided to start advocating for myself and other sex workers, given how our rights seem to be constantly under attack.
I do not censor myself or shy away from the realities of selling sex here – the bad parts as well as the good. Sex workers often face abuse, which is why we so sorely need the full decriminalization of our work and therefore the ability to access our rights as workers.
If you’d like to read about trans and intersex sex workers in general, sign up to be notified when the Transactional Intercourse pre-order campaign launches on Kickstarter! It’s an anthology which will include 30 trans and/or intersex sex workers’ essays and personal narratives.
